Make sure you know your audiences,
To reporters -know what they love to cover ,make sure make them your friends.
Create relationship with them, beneficial relationship to both sides.

As a media relations, they off from office about 5 or 6, but technically they don't off their job,because they can receive email easily through mobile phone.
